We had a wonderful Culture Night 2016 here at Lilliput Press. As those of you who made it down to Stoneybatter will know, our glitzy event featured our very own star attraction, Donal Ryan. It was the biggest  turnout that we have ever had for any Culture Night event thus far – so huge in fact that we simply could not fit everyone inside the premises and a crowd amassed outside! Our highlight of the evening was the launch Donal’s new book All We Shall Know. Lilliput’s proprietor, Antony Farrell, gave a warm speech to introduce Donal before the author said a few words and then delivered a sublime reading from the book alongside the gorgeous Katie Standen. Donal’s audience gave him their complete attention as he read and it is fair to say that one could hear a pin drop as he delivered the reading. The atmosphere was wonderful and Donal, a warm and engaging fellow, circulated the room, signing books and  chatting to everyone before departing to Dublin Castle to appear live on the RTE Radio One special Culture Night programme. The crowd enjoyed wine,  homemade ginger lemonade, breads and cheeses, and hummus and dips on an evening that continued on well into the night. We hope that all of our loyal customers enjoyed the event and that those who were first timers to Lilliput Press were charmed by our warm, candlelit, ramshackle bookshop and press.
