Great collection of essays & stories. Video games have been fundamental to my own coming of age experience and how I relate to the world. So to find this book with so many voices that echo my own and provide new views and understanding too has been a delight. Highly recommend.

A page turner is an oft used phrase in literary circles and it is more times hyperbole than anything else, Dead as Doornails is the exception to that rule. I was in convulsed with laughter from the offset. Not only is it a page turner, it is hilarious.

This collection is wonderfully put together. It is a rare thing to hear such deep wisdom conveyed in such a humble and profound way. John Moriarty is able to speak of the mundane in a way that brings it alive suffusing the ordinary with extraordinary insight into the divine aspects of life.
