‘The Lilliput Press was proud to herald the 90th birthday of its most distinguished living international Irish author, James Patrick ‘Mike’ Donleavy, on Saturday 23rd of April. We wish him longevity and congratulations. Family, friends and close associates gathered at his lakeside home, Levington Park, Mullingar, County Westmeath, to mark and celebrate the occasion

In July 2015 Lilliput published the 60th anniversary edition of The Ginger Man with a forward by Johnny Depp and essays by other luminaries to considerable acclaim. In October 2015 J.P. Donleavy was given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards committee. Later this year, 2016, his career will be crowned by the conferral of an honorary doctorate by Trinity College, Dublin, Donleavy’s alma mater.

Furthermore Lilliput is delighted to announce that Donleavy’s new novel, A Letter Marked Personal, will be published by the Press in the spring of 2017, his first publication of the century since the appearance of Wrong Information is Being Given out at Princeton (1998).’
