Guidelines

The books published by The Lilliput Press are all broadly focused on Irish themes.

We accept literary fiction and nonfiction such as history, memoir and biography. Please bear this in mind when considering us for submission.

The following documents are needed to submit to us:

1. A cover letter introducing yourself, including your contact details.
2. A one-page synopsis of your work and why you think it is a good fit for Lilliput.
3. Three sample chapters or 5000 word equivalent (these don’t need to be consecutive).

• The Lilliput Press receives hundreds of submissions every year. We endeavour
• to give time and attention to all of them, but please allow up to 6 months or a response.
• Please do not send us original copies of photographs or manuscripts, especially as postal submissions are not currently accepted.
• If your work is progressed on to the next stage, you may be asked to provide a printed manuscript of your work. At that point, you will be provided with an active postal address.
• The Lilliput Press is currently not accepting genre literature, such as children’s literature, crime fiction or science fiction.
