Meet the Interns: Part III
Who are you and what is your role at Lilliput Press?
My name is Shauna, and I am the current publicity intern for The Lilliput Press. The main aspects of my job are all based around social media and event organization – two tasks that complement each other well.
I organize all the book launches for our upcoming releases. This involves securing a venue, negotiating fees, ensuring there will be a crowd, accommodating guest speakers and organizing the sale of books at the event. My social media management is crucial to this job as it is one of the main ways in which I publicize the event.
What Lilliput Release are you most looking forward to?
The release I am looking forward to most is Emer Martin’s new book, The Cruelty Men. Released in June, this book tells the story of generations of the O’Conaill family against the back drop of a newly independent Ireland. It is definitely a book to keep a eye out for.
