Ruairi O hEithir, son of Breandan O hEithir, born in 1959, was educated at University College Dublin and is a teacher.

Breandan O hEithir was a native of Aran, born in 1930 and educated in Galway. A well-known journalist, broadcaster and novelist, he died in 1991.
