THE AUTHOR
Born in Dublin in 1955, David Lloyd studied in Belfast and Cambridge, and is now Associate Professor of English at the University of California, Berkeley. He is author of Nationalism and Minor Literature: James Clarence Mangan and the Emergence of Irish Cultural Nationalism (1987).
